The Sims 3 Seasons: Alien Encounter

"I heard some noises coming from the sky above"
"What's that? What's wrong with the sky tonight?"

"Uh...What is happening?"

"I cant move! I cant move!"

"Help me!! I am trapped!! Is that a UFO?"
" Teehee...This girl looks pretty, I shall abduct her to my tea party"

Soon, the girl returns with some memory lost. She can't remember vividly what has happened. All she can recall are vague images of her being in a grotesquely distorted dimension where a tea party is held and making a new inhuman friend. But, she can't find her new friend when she jolt awake in the lawn of her house soon afterward.

She hears some rumour circulating in the town that Alien is likely to be attracted to the many space rocks that can be found in this town. Hence, she decides to assign her pet dog to find a space rock for her. Then, her pet dog returns with a gigantic space rock, much to her surprise by how the small dog can carry such a big rock!
The rumour is true! Few days later, the Alien friend returns to check out the space rock and she seems like enjoying the rainy weather, playing in the rain, splashing around jubilantly.

She is deeply intrigued by her own reflection in the water.
The girl can hear some noises coming from the outside and to her surprise, she sees her alien friend playing outside her house when she peeks through the window. Without hesitation, she invites her inside and they start to getting to know each other. The girl cannot fathom why she can understand her new friend's language. Has her mind somehow tuned to the frequency of the alienated world and hence able to understand the language? Or what she tries to say somehow comes out as their language?

Since, the girl is currently staying alone, she has an idea of asking her new friend to move in with her. The Alien agrees without hesitation because now she can easily bio drain from the living things in this town to satisfy her seemingly infinite brain power.

After a few days of staying in Monte Vista, the alien soon grows accustomed to the town's culture and fashion. She has a full body make over, from head-to-toe, to her new uber cool outfit, at the famous salon in town.

At times, she needs to take  siestas to recharge her brain power. (AKA sleeping for human)

She can also summon meteor from outer space when she is fully charged up!

Beware of summoning the meteor around your sim's house, as it will certainly lead to catastrophe and at worse case, demise of the unlucky sims around.
The remnants of the fallen meteor are her alternate source to restore her brain power!

These space rocks provides a substantial mind power booster!

She also enjoys activities held in the festive ground and meets new friend like Zombie!!

Apple: EarPods

As Apple announced the launch of their newly designed earbuds (known as EarPods) together with iPhone 5 last September, I was immediately gripped by this white accessory more than the phone itself. Since I know I will not get myself a new iPhone in near future, I was also in doubt if I should buy this EarPods separately.

Doubts in my mind:

  1. Everyone knows that Apple accessories do not come cheap.
  2. Not sure how different it is with the previous apple earbuds.
  3. Is it capable of drowning out the ambience noise?
  4. How strong the bass is?
At first, I tried to dismiss all the desires of owning this accessory by convincing myself that the EarPods would not worth the money it cost. Then, when my sister got her iPhone 5, I got the chance to test the EarPods and was totally blown away by the sound quality. (There is no testing of the EarPods at the stores..*frustrated*)

Here are some pros and cons of the EarPods (based on my own experience after using the product).

PROS:
  1. The bass has significantly improved compared to the previous Apple earbuds. The bass is adequately strong but do not hurt to my ears over an extended period of usage time.
  2. Its eargonomic design (pun intended) ensures that the EarPods will fit snugly&comfortably in my ears.
  3. Sound quality is better than the previous earbuds and able to drown out more surrounding noises.
  4. Hard plastic is used for the outer shell of the EarPods. It shines and looks cool! The previous earbuds contain some rubbery parts which may peel off especially if you always pull it in and out of your pocket.
  5. It cost at an affordable price, RM109 with acceptable sound quality.
Cons:
  1. The wire may tangle up if is not kept properly.
  2. Ambience noise is not muffled out completely or as effectively as the in-ear earphone.
  3. The white wire may get dirty after some time. (Isn't this common to all your Apple cables?)

Pictures showing the product.
The EarPods

Old earbuds and new EarPods

It fits well in almost everyone's ears, as boasted by Apple.

My own EarPods and ugly fingers

The case it comes with when you buy it separately from the iPhone or other latest iPods. It cost RM109 here.

Back. EarPods with Remote and Mic. Sorry for not reviewing the remote and mic here.

Overall, I love this earphone and it really makes me want to listen to music more.. LOL, which is bad, considering it might hurt the hearing if used excessively.

PS: The EarPods also comes under one year warranty. I bought it at the Switch (Apple Premium Reseller) in Queensbay Mall, Penang.

The K Wave

I  never liked the Korean Wave because of several reasons:
  1. I think it is over-rated.
  2. I think most of the times the songs and dramas are over commercialized.
  3. The artists are always looking perfect. I cant help but to think they have done something on themselves, thus it is difficult for me to be inspired to follow these artists.
  4. I don't like to be bathed in the mainstream.
But I never detest them ok?

While I was doing preparations for my final examinations recently, I came across some songs that I quite enjoy.

Reasons I like them:
  1.  I dont know those artists, indirectly, making me feel that they are not that mainstream, over-rated, commercialized.
  2. The songs that I listen to are mostly ballad and not those upbeat KPOP songs that are annoyingly (not all but some) blared by every speakers you can find in the malls.
  3. I dont know the words they sing, it is less distracting, and hence I can enjoy the music while doing revisions.

These are two (of a few other songs) that I quite enjoy listening  to them recently.
Since I already finished my examination and having holiday now, may be it's time for me to find out what those songs really mean and explore more about the K-Wave. May be one day I will fall in love with the K Wave and go gaga about the their culture?

** Please forgive my ignorance if the two songs posted above are very maintsream and sung by very popular, well known singers whom I casually labelled them as not-that-mainstream because of my ignorance to find out who are they.
