Time flies. In the blink of an eye, it is only 5 days left before I go back to KL. I always find that holiday has a weird way of provoking thoughts and this is especially true when the day of going back to study is drawing closer! I think about relationships of family and friends, how I mistreated them, how I should have acted in those kind of unpleasant moments; and reminiscing those good ol times like what the old people do. LOL...My mind is so complicated, it is hard for you (even myself) to grasp on what it is actually doing...

So, in this particular evening, as the sun was s creeping its way down the horizon, my hard-to-understand mind kicked into action again. This time, it instructed me to go outside to have a good evening stroll and to appreciate the beauties of mother nature, instead of rotting at home or aimlessly surfing the net!

So, below are some of the pictures taken while I was walking around my neighbourhood. Oh, did I mention I will make sure the sun and its heat is soft/friendly enough to not causing tanning of my skin then only I will go outside?? I really dislike any bright lights (ask my roomate, he knows I have bat kind life!) and I scare heat as my body easily get heated up.

Enough with the long winded words. Here are the pictures...

万里香 which is opposite to my house- a place selling big bonsai trees. I love this new entrance (door) they just installed not long ago and of course the lush greenery behind this door!

The small path that connects my taman (housing area) to some kampong (village).

Some I dunno what fruits/vegetables that are planted by the houseowner. You can only find this in village!

The jogging path! Ignore litters beside the river. As you "venture" (yes, they are monkeys, snakes, cows etc) deeper into this place, you will not see those eye-sore rubbish again. ( i not even sure what should i call this place. there are palm oil, sugarcane plantation along the jogging path)

Instead of turning left into the jogging path, if you turn right, you will come to the run down playground and recreation area.

The playground is really in its bad,dilapidated condition. There are not even seats for the swing. I used to come here to play everyday when I was still a little kid. And here is also the place I broke my front lower tooth!! It wasnt pulled out, but the tooth was chipped and I still have it until now!

The sun. Actually, its intensity was still quite strong for me that time. But, for god sake, to take this picture and be blogged here, I risked my life,staying longer than usual under the sun just to catch a glimpse of the river with the sunset in background.

And this is the view of the backside of my secondary school. The school is just a stone thrown away from my house. (really stone thrown distance loh...it takes me less than 2 minutes to walk from my house to the back entrance of the school)

And of course,some rude teenagers who swear vulgarities while playing basketball!

Finally, I have gotten this month new items. And in this new blog post, I would like to talk about the Vertical Challenge Rock Wall, though, the items i truly love in this set is the Safari Living Set.

There are three levels of difficulty of this rock wall - easy, medium, hard. The wall becomes steeper with each increasing level of difficulty. Sims can use this wall to skill up their level of athleticism and gain some fun too!

Although this rock wall might seem interesting at first time, there are not much interactions available. Personally, I feel that my sims cant live without it and,instead, choose to hit the gym to gain their athletic skill.

LOl, if only sims could die of falling off the wall.....

The Malleable Mimic Voodoo Doll

I love this most compared to the crystal ball and cauldron.

To start this magic trick, first you must successfully bind the targeted sims to this doll. I failed once before and I think the reason was that my sims and the targeted sims are not close to each other enough. If the binding process is successful, the puppet will glow and there are some cool magical effect glowing under your sims!

Love ALL the magical effects!

Sometimes, the magic will backfire too. Your sims will be shocked by the doll (as in the picture)??? So beware when performing this trick as it can BURN your sims!

Some tricks you can perform with this doll:

(I) Cupid's Arrow

(II) Pins and Needles

(III) Hot Foot

(IV) Wet Pants

(V) Curse

(VI) Bless

(I) Cupid's Arrow --to better improve your targeted sims relationship with your sims.

Red glowing hearts come out from the targeted sims if the trick works!

(II) Pins and Needles - to torture the targeted sims. I know you enjoy seeing this!

Dark Magiccccckkkk!!

(III) Hot Foot - to torture the targeted sims. It is funny to see your sims trying to burn the doll's feet with the ignitor.

As if cat on the hot bricks!

(IV) Wet Pants - to torture the targeted sims and cause them to wet their pants!

It is always funny to see sims on the edge of peeing themselves. But, you know you will have mess to cleanup afterwards!

(V) Curse

The cursed sims will be shrouded with dark smokes/clouds

Not all the magic tricks are meant to torture the others. You can also use the doll to (VI) Bless others. The clover leaves and golden sparkles look just so pleasant right?

This is the case where your sims fails to bind the doll to the targeted sims!

She will be mad at your sims and show him the middle finger..*rubbing my eyes* I mean her index finger.

Moving on to the Soothsayer's Crystal Ball

As you can see from the above picture, you can tell your own fortune or tell bogus fortunes to other sims. Before you start to read the mystical crystal ball, you need to place at least one chair besides the table (two chairs ,if you want to help others to fortune telling). And according to The Sims 3 Forum, there are some players experiencing difficulty in placing those chairs correctly next to the table. So try your luck until you get them work for you!

Something good is gonna happen?

You can predict your own future using this crystal ball. My sims was foretold that he was going to receive something good through his mail and it did happen that a few thousand simoleons decoration painting was sent to his mail!

Lastly, the Lord Vladimir's Magic Cauldron.

You can create these potions with this magical pot:

(I) Sleeping potion

(II)Vanity potion

(III) Emotion potion

You need to collect some stuff (I am not sure what are the specific things you need to prepare) before you can brew the potion.

According to the tips, it seems like you need Rainbow Bettle, Rainbow Trout or Rainbow Gem to create the strong powerful potion.

You need three identical ingredients to brew the potions??

If you are lazy to collect the ingredients in the wild (fishing or searching for the gem) or buy them off the grocery store, you can try to conjure the ingredients too. But the ingredients turn up in your pot is random. Also, each time your sims is trying to conjure an ingredients, it will deplete your sims energy. Beware of over exhausting your sims and pass out!

As I love my sims doing magical stunts, I like this set introduced by EA. I know they are others simmers who dont enjoy the magical parts in the game. They just feel the game needs to be more realistic, more magic-free. People have their own preferences right? One man's meat is another man's poison. So, respect choices made by other people and happy simming!

PS: Since, EA introduces this set and the magical spell book few months ago, does this mean that we are not getting an expansion pack for magic like we did in The Sims 2 Apartment Life?

The Sims 3: Cow Plant Can Die too

Cow Plants can die too if unattended for too long. So, feed them with your sims *oppss...i mean lollipop* before they die away!

Yes. The man eating cow plant from The Sims 2 University has come to The Sims 3------------Store as premium content.

The cow plant in sims 3 is pretty useless (at least in my game). After waiting for 3 to 4 days of starving the plants, without petting/playing with/ feeding, the plants will start to show its cake bait to attract the unsuspecting sims who are so greedy for the cake.

Until now, I still not sure if being eaten by the plant will bring death or not, because every sims who were eaten in my game would come back again somewhere in the sims world after a while or being regurgitated by the plants. I searched through The Sims 3 Forum and some stated that death by cow plant is 50/50. If death happens, the ghost will come back in purple color - which is the colour for ghosts who died from starvation. Cow plant cant really eat children and old sims though, as these category sims who being swallowed would be vomited out by the plant. Also, cow plant wont eat stinky sims!! So smart ehhh...

Look Cow Plant in action!

You can Praise/ Scold your cow plant after it has successfully eaten the stupid sims who came close to it. The praises and scolds will either encourage or discourage the plant from continuing to behave that way. The Elixir of Life (as what The Sims 2 called the extract from milking ) enables the sims who consume it to return to their beginning of their life stage!

The Cow Plant comes together with other useless items like cow plant arcade machine (meh, i have plenty of arcade machines from The Sims 3 Late Night, other store sets), cow plant spring rider (meh again, i have many spring riders from The Sims 3 Generations and store sets too) and the rest are just decorations..

Buy the set from The Sims 3 Store if you dying to have to plant in your game!

Aikido and I

This semester is coming to its end and so is the Aikido lesson that I am taking. (it is officially ended since we already performed today during the Festival Pendidikan Kokurikulum).

Ok...I am going to write this entry in Q&A form.
So, here we go...

Q1: What are the reasons that you choose to take this course instead of others?
A: I want to learn something new. (CEH...other subjects also new to you and you can also learn new things la). This is not the sole reason I am taking Aikido actually. When I was trying to sign up for co-curricular activities, already many interesting other activities like swimming, photography, etc have already fully signed up by other students. Hence, this left me not much choices to choose from. Even, if there were places for swimming/photography, i would not choose them as I know the basics and there are not new for me. (CEH...you only say this because you fail to eat the good grapes and now you are saying the grapes are sour only).

Besides that, I really want to do something outside the classroom, something which involves more physical activities instead of being confined in classroom again after daily classes and learn something theoretical. I want to sweat, to stay active and keep fit at the same time. This led me to making decision of choosing eventually.

Q2: What is Aikido actually?
A: Aikido (合気道) is a Japanese martial arts created by Morihei Ueshiba. It is rather softer type of martial arts as compared to those more aggressive ones like Karate and Taekwando. Also, Moriher Ueshiba's goal was to create an art that practitioners could use to defense themselves while at the same time protecting the enemy from inflicting injuries.

Throughout the lessons, Sensei Tee (he taught us Aikido in this semester) always emphasizes on circular, perpendicular movements which can be used to redirect the attacker's force and momentum thus conquering the attacker with very little physical strength. Thus, this means that a small person is able to move a big person if he can perform Aikido techniques effectively.

Can you believe this?? Finally I have done the orthodontic treatment that lasted 3 years to correct the very misaligned crooked teeth that I ~~have~~ had since small. Though the teeth are now in their better positions, I still have 2 more procedures to go before I can go flashing my FAKE smiles to dazzle all of you. LOL.

I am quite satisfied with the result of the whole treatment. My dentist, Dr Steven Lim is always so meticulous in attending to the problems I have and the most important thing is he is such a gentle man! HAHA...I am not talking about his behaviours, I mean he never make me feel uncomfortable when he is working in my mouth! I dont feel any great pain. I must admit that I have quite a relaxing treatment throughout these 3 years as I dont really experience many complains as seen in other orthodontic patients.

This was how I looked like 3 years back. I cropped away the top part above the nose to hide away my ugly face! I dont want to put you extra stress when you are already so shocked of how horrible my teeth looked like.

Told you my teeth were really crooked. Not even one tooth was in the correct position. I even have the "vampire" like tooth on the top right of my mouth and it overlapped with other teeth. (see the picture above). Please dont complain about the yellow teeth I have. I am working on them to make them whiter now.

Look how my front teeth grew in a V-shaped position which was caused by the lack of space in my mouth to hold so much teeth inside.

Long time no blog. Haha..It is about one month already since I last blogged. Just a short updates of what happened to me in this November. (this month not even end yet!)

Ok...here is my first ever experience going to Singapore. I love Singapore. It is so much prettier than Kuala Lumpur ( i dont say it is prettier than Malaysia because I make the comparison purely based on these two cities only as I did not get to explore other parts of Singapore which is not urbanized)

Here is me looking out of the window on the way from Penang airport to Changi.

The weather was nice that time. Very beautiful sky. Could see many fluffy clouds drifting past me.

Oh...I wonder how it is like if i lay down on them.

Until i cant see anything outside the window. it was complete cottonly white blur.......

Then I reached Singapore la. (haha..sorry for the sudden ending)

Stayed at my sister place for 3 days over the weekend before my mid semester break ended. Didnt get the chance to fully explore this new place as we (my family and I) arrived late in Friday. On the first night, we just had our dinner and then slept after that. Too exhausted by the 40 minutes flight. I think?

Then on the second day (Saturday), my sister brought us to Sentosa. It was raining continuously for the whole day and so we cancelled our plan to go into Universal Studio (plus my thrifty dad disapproved us to spend so much money in a place like that). May be I could go there next time when I go to Singapore again with my friends?

Nah...My eldest sister. Do you see any resemblance between us?

My youngest sister who is so dark already but still enjoy going out to camping. I dont see any similarities between 4 (oh yea, i still have another lil sister) of us loh. Dunno la, may be I was collected back from the dumpster?

Yeay Universal Studio....Nah. I did not enter to visit though. *somber face*

Then at night after our dinner, we went to visit Marina Bay. I really love this place because of the water, city lights, buildings, clean surrounding (this is so important to me).

And I had the chance to see the Wonder Full performance. To know what more about performance, visit their website here. Basically it is a show comprises of a lot of stunning lighting, water spray (fountain like...is it?), projection of images on these spritzed out water droplets which becomes the screen for the images.

This is how awesome the water show! Dont you think it is awesome?

That was the end of second day in Singapore.

Then on Sunday, after having my saltily scrumptious (really salty loh...the chicken tastes like it is sprinkled with salt after it is done) China Food my sister and I rushed to the bus stop to take a bus and back to KL. My eldest sister loves to do thing in rush, so I expected I would arrive late or (nearly make it before the bus departs) and we really ended up late lo, a few minutes before the bus drove away. And we were drenched through our skin all the way to the bus stop because of the heavy rain. Damn, I sat in the air-cond bus in my wet shirt and this is TOTAL MADNESS. But, after that I still safely reached KL again after 7hours of journey!!!

(sorry for the lack of pictures for this trip, because my sister was responsible to take all the pictures and I kinda lazy to filter the pictures..I just uploaded here those i took with my noob digital camera and phone)

OK..move on to the next events.

Went to watch "You are the apple of my eye 那些年" with my fellow chinese juniors and seniors at Mid Valley. See how big our group?? And they were all so united to wear the club baby blue shirt to go there (except me and my friends...we are those rebellious seniors...opppss)

Movie review: I dont really enjoy the movie. It is boring. The story line is in my expectation though I never read the original novel before. I think I cant feel the vibe that the movie should give me partly because of the big crowd I went to watch with. I was quite "annoyed" when they laughed at some scenes where I dont find them funny at all. @@...I was so bored that I started to twist my ankle clockwise counterclockwise halfway the movie and this action was repeated a few times because I afraid i would have fallen asleep if I just sat there and watched the movie without finding its joke as funny.

Went to support my close friend performing at PT (pesta tanglung, can you believe we are still having tanglung celebration in this month?). Personally, I dont find it interesting to watch any kind of theater. I cant hear what the actors say most of the time and just simply guessing through the whole performance. But, since she is my friend, I gotta support her right? ( I almost gave up my ticket before going)

The theme of the story is human should appreciate our mother nature and love the flora and fauna around us. My friend acted as a old nanny firefly. ( haha..i m not sure what is her character actually)

My newly made friend in this semester. She is my junior, a batch after me. Though she enters University for already 2 years, now I only realize that she is such a funny (and a lot of craziness) person. Look how cheerful she smiled in the picture! so adorable hor?

Then, celebrated a few November born friends birthday. Yeay, finally I can resume celebrating birthday after the warning of my Mom. Lol for the superstition of me and mom. And what is more important in celebrating birthday?? Answer: taking a lot of self absorbed pictures.

I cut and redye my hair into a lighter shade. Of course, I done it at The School Hair Academy. Please refer to my older post here and here to know a little more about my relationship with the academy. Actually, I was quite bothered initially because right after I recoloured my hair, no one around me seemed to realize that!!! They just see me in a more boyish new hairstyle (which my roomate said CUTE when he saw me coming back from Singapore). But, I grow in love with this color when I see all the photos taken recently, because I am no easily noticeable among all the dark haired people...hahah...sorry if you guys are offended how i address you.

Thanks Oliver for the splendid hair colour which I m so in love with now and the cute hairstyle. I will go back to find you again!

As many of you know that my braces are already removed, you may think that I can smile confidently now.

But, it is not completely true. Firstly, I am not good at smiling. I have forgotten how to smile naturally without looking awkward or smile like those who get severe botox treatment.

Secondly, my teeth are yellowish. I don't want to let my friends to see my yellow teeth. It is still OK for me to hide my yellow teeth in pic (as i can smile without opening my mouth to that big extent), but it is hard for me to hide when I talk and laugh with them.

Lastly, I have two slightly ( one is worse than the other) bad front teeth. I don't want people to see the flaws. I must get my teeth fixed soon!!

Therefore, here is my plan now>>>>

After getting my retainer and wearing it daily for 2 weeks, I must start to bleach my teeth to get myself whiter teeth. And after bleaching, I can start to do tooth filling to fix the front teeth because the dentist will fill the bad teeth according to what the teeth color look like.

I know there are some side effects for bleaching my teeth. But, you know I am vain..=.=.. After I get my teeth straightened, I want to bleach them. I want them to look good enough so that I can flash my dazzling smiles in NEAR future.

Now, don't you think doing teeth is like doing plastic surgery? You just can't get enough until you achieve the perfect features you dream of or at least good enough for you to show people so as to complacent your vain heart!

I am so sorry to all my friends that because of my Facebook accounts I have caused so much confusion. But now, there is only one account I have, I have deactivated all other old accounts to stop any further confusion.

As you guys know, I was quite frustrated when my current account was being disabled by Facebook, as this is the latest account that I created few months back and there are a lot of new photos and friends that I treasure. The reason Facebook team disabled my account was that they were suspecting me trying to fake someone else. I wonder who the hell that reported me. My faker? Most probably.

Halo.....Do you think I look like a faker? Other people fake me ok? I have so many photos of myself in my albums, I bet those fakers (who are trying to be me) do not have so much tagged photos right?

So, after a few attempts to restore my account by emailing Facebook team, explaining my issue, finally, they gave me back my account yesterday (they temporarily closed my account for about 3 weeks!!)

Finally, the 4 months long semester break is over. I am back to University with new start and new look!

Now,everyday, I try to style my hair before going out to do shopping or for class! It makes me feel good when I look good that day~

Basically, I spent most of my time doing shopping for the first week of the new semester. There are lots of stuff for me to buy in order to replace the old stuff I chucked out when last semester ended. Besides, I need to find some decent nice clothes for me to attend the grand finale of the Total Image Makeover too~~

Ky accompanied me to go back Penang to attend the finale. Before the day, I brought him to visit and taste those delicious food available in my small laoya town. I told (bet with) him that I would change his view towards Laksa (as he never tasted what a good laksa really is before.). And he did! The famous Pang Long Laksa is so irresistible. *salivating hard* I wanna have it now. Patient patient. Im gonna go backm to my hometown again in next 2 weeks for my dental appointment.

Competition starting. We were required to cat walk on stage (Ky said I walked so unnatural) and there were also Q & A session too. I was so nervous the moment I stepped out on stage. I could feel my face muscle twitching when I sat down on that stool after the awkward cat-walking on stage.

The pretty jugde, Rain B, who gave me makeover (haircut + make up). He is so pretty and sedusive. I dare not look directly into his those flirtatious eyes!

Oliver (the left black shirt guy) has done a lot to achieve his today success. I cant tell how much grateful I am. Because of him, I have the chance to experience many things that I never tried before. Thanks Oliver.

As many of you guys know, I have participated in Total Image Makeover Challenge. Just in case you don't read me regularly, here is the post talking about what I am currently involving in.

Normally, when we come across this type of what what challenges, we would just think "meh, this is not something I will ever do!"

But, when my friend told me about this challenge and he encouraged me to take part I was quite interested to join already.(after I told him I had been chosen to be given makeover, he said "you are serious ar?" and then I only realized he was not serious at all that time!!)
By the way, I must thank him too for introducing me this challenge. For if it was not him, I will not look like or feel good of how I am now.

Actually it was not a impulsive decision at all to take part in this challenge. I think a lot of things ok?? Like if I was chosen, would they makeover me until I look like an alien? Besides, I have to make commitment to come back Penang again for the grand finale the first week after the new semester starts. (wahlao...I already dreaming about these things when I was not chosen.)

SO, what makes me think I need the makeover?

The New Me

Hey guys, I am so excited to share with you guys the NEW me. I have been taking part in Total Image Make-over Challenge which is organized by Intrenasionale and The-School Hair Academy that gave me makeover. I am glad to be chosen as the Top 10 finalist for the challenge and thrilled to receive a makeover that changes me from my usual 'nerdy' (they described me like that...you think that too? how sad...><) look to a cuter and fresher outlook. Below are some of the pictures taken after the makeover. Hope you guys will like my new look.

Me without hair styling.. Do I look un-presentable now that every time when I go out I need to style my hair?

Notice the thinner and sharper eyebrows. I love them. The brows make me look more energetic right? Let's hope that I will make a habit of trimming my eyebrows routinely now.

Basically, they are trying to minimize my head size (yea, I admit my head is big. so,stop teasing,..) by thinning out my hair above my ears which grows awkwardly horizontal that makes my head appears bigger. Besides that, the hair color expert - Oliver L (founder of The-School Hair Academy) dyed my hair into a lighter color to make my head smaller too. HAHA. I am not an expert. So don't ask me how they dyed my hair because I can assure you that they were not just simply slapping some chemicals on my head and waiting the chemical to stain. By the way, my friends who met me also like the hair colour and say that the hair makes me look fairer now.hehe. I am so happy to hear that!

Currently I am still under the challenge. Whoever that gets the most LIKEs in Facebook and judges like will be crowned as the Grand Prize Winner.The finale will be held at Straits Quay Convention Centre on 18th September (8pm~9pm). So, waste no more time and vote for me ok??

Wtf....I am writing this at 3.49am!!! F*ck...this is all due to the cosy raining day, I feel so comfortable rolling under the thick blanket and fall asleep at 10.30pm. When was your last time ever sleeping in this early hour???

Since, I am up, I have decided to come here and write some things.

It is hard for me to go to sleep again after waking up tonight partly because of having to temporary say good bye to one of my close friends, Ah Hai. He is flying (yea....still flying) to Korea for 4 months student exchange programme. I thought I was handling so well for this short separation, but...I dunno..I just feel a bit of reluctance to part with him.

I know. I know this is temporary. I know this is a happy occasion and I am happy for him. I always tell my gang (me and ahai mutual gang) "ceh...just 4 months...he will be back sooner than you think.." but now why am I sitting in front of my laptop feeling down because of him? It is not like he is the most important person to me..*ahai, dont get mad when you see this*..

I hate this contradiction feeling. It makes me feel like I am JUST LIKE A KID.

Personal opinion:
The worst stuff pack ever released in Sims series. The objects are just reskined from the existing objects in other expansion/stuff pack without any variation from the original objects. I can easily get the objects created by other creative sims players,

People who might be interested and wish to buy this stuff pack:

Those who don't have The Sims 3 Generations and hope to provide their children sims with more toy like sandbox, spring riders and treehouse. (better save your money and buy the expansion pack, right?)
Those who want to do laundry in their game because they do not have The Sims 3 Ambitions. (again, save your money and get the expansion if I were you. Or, you can also get the laundry set from Sims Store)
Those who enjoy building in the sims game. The building objects seem fresh and modern to create many exciting new buildings.
Loyal sims fans who never miss any expansion or stuff packs.

**P.S: All comments above are written purely based on my personal opinion without trying to offend or discourage anyone from buying the stuff pack. It is your money. You can do whatever you want. Hanging out with myself ..

I went watching movie yesterday (20/7/2011) at Penang Queensbat Mall, alone. How sad and pity, huh? Well, it is true that hanging out with friends is more enjoyable, but sometimes friends are not always there for you! Unlike many of my friends, I am currently a jobless penurious student who is having his 4 months semester break (1 months + left). Many of them are either working or have to take care of their other responsibilities. Don't say that I am being idle and do not even try to find a job. I did! I found a part time job and worked for 1 week (4 days to be exact) before I quit the job. I worked as a storekeeper in a pharmacy near my house, and it just didn't come to my mind before that the job could be so physically taxing.

Just forget about the crappiest job that I ever had.

Back to the movie..

I have never been a avid Harry Potter movie fan. I don't really enjoy the movies because the movies are inadequate as compared to the novels. I know I can't make comparison between books and movies because they are made differently to be commercially successful. After seeing many rave reviews from those who had watched it, somehow the movie managed to stir my enthusiasm, or rather curiosity to watch it in theater.

I watched the movie in 3D because I missed the 11.30am show (normal 2D film) and I didn't want to wait long. It only cost me RM13 for a 3D film! The cheapest 3D movie that i ever have so far..Normally, if I watch it in KL, the 3D film costs around RM18. I am not sure the reason why it was so cheap. Perhaps, it was a movie day? There are not much 3D effects in the Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows movie. Besides the obvious depth (how far people are standing away from each other) that the movie shows, I did not see other stunning effects. They should have made those ~~magical~~ magicky (haha..i prefer the word magicky here, though u cant find it in dictionary) scenes more enchanting because I suppose, magic is majestic right?

Should I label myself as a voracious reader of Harry Potter because I own these books? I only started to collect the novels when I was studying in Form 4 (the last book was released the year after that which was July 2007). It was part of my plan to encourage myself to read in English and I did not know any best selling authors besides the well known J.K.Rowling, so I ended up collecting all her Harry Potter novels eventually. Notice the first to six books are in paperback? By the time, I had finished reading the first six books it was about time the 7th book was released. I never thought my mom would allow me to buy it after its immediate release (because it is expensive and she wanted me to focus on my SPM!) But, she just did it (this explains why the last book is in hardcover) and I promised I won't neglect my studies. I still remember the monthly test was around the corner that time, and I only allowed myself to read 10pages per day. But surely you know I won't stick to my own promise. I read more than that!

The Tales of Beedle the Bard as mentioned in the last book of Harry Potter. It is stories for children in the wizardry world while the Muggle born have Cinderella, Snow white..etc..

Hermione inherited the books from Dumbledore after his death. It was written in ancient runes that only Hermione was able to decipher the text. And thanks to her, she translated the book and now we can read it in English!

I had my haircut after the movie. I was intending to keep long hair but my mom insists me keeping it short because of the coming Ghost month. She doesn't want me to get into any bad luck things. As a good boy *ahem* and not to worry my mom, I cut my hair..Had my hair cut in HairIcon which is recommended by my friend. The haircut was okok, because it doesn't change me much (perhaps most hairstylists think that is the most suitable hairstyle for me?). My friends surely will doubt if I already cut my hair if they see me. They always give me that comment when in fact I just cut my hair.I am so gonna take the makeover challenge organized their academy - The School Hair Academy in this August. I am so pissed off when my eldest sis told me that her friends say that I am gay because I wear thick make up...

Halo...You are so wrong. I admit that I do make up. But I don't do that frequently or every time when I go out. Plus I only use foundation around my nose ONLY and some concealer to cover my eye puffiness. So, tell me, are you using make up more than I do? (those who dont use make up, please dont make comparison. I am happy for you because you have great skin)

I look fake to you? Because I look good to you? I am happy if you think that way. I don't have professional/ advanced photoshopping skills. Again, I admit I do touch up my pictures SOMETIMES (I am not yelling, highlighting). I really mean sometimes. Not all the photos I uploaded are edited. And if you consider adjusting the brightness and contrast setting is something fake, then you should just go bang your head hard on the wall.

I am really thankful to my parents for giving me my good skin. I really do and appreciate it. I have some pimples occasionally but not all the time. I have the natural tints of pinkness on my cheeks and they are more obvious especially when I have a lot of jogging. Dont ever say that I put blusher on my face. I dont have that powder. How do I take care of my skin then? Simple, I put my focus and priority all on moisturizing.

Look feminine? Yes. I admit it. I dont feel sad. I am born this way. I am beautiful in my way. I am not a macho guy, so why should i pretend I am those guy? Look beautiful and so not a guy? Well, I will say thank you to you to think that it is beautiful. It is a compliment to me. I am not trying to be "thick-faced" here. But, do you always hear people praise you like that? I am happy when people praise for my prettiness/handsomeness and I am well aware that I still have alot of improvement to be pretty or handsome. I dont feel it am offended if they say I am beautiful. As long as it is compliment, I will accept it with "Thank You".

After adjusting the brightness and contrast settings, lighten the eyebags and dark circles (I dont remove them so that I dont look fake), remove blackheads on my nose and the "pimple" like thingy on my right face. I tell you it is not pimple. I have it since primary school.

Nah. Perfect barbie doll skin with lips edited. I know the lips looks like sausage, but if I left it unedited in this pic, it looks terrible because the lips is purplish in the original picture and it doesnt blend into this pic brightness and contrast settings. I do this picture because i m trying/learning to create barbie doll skin out from a website I visited.

Without edit, any make up and lens. My face is burning red after jogging. See the sweat? See the eyebags? See the dark circles? See the pimple thingy on my right face? If you dont see those things i mentioned, then I probably have the picture touched up or the effect can also be done with some good lighting somtimes.

PS: I am not trying to show off here. I will always happy and open to any comments. I dont feel there is a need for me to upload those more macho pictures here, because I dont feel I have to prove that I am a real guy.

Sushi King RM2 Sushi Bonanza

As many of you know, I am having my semester break until this September, 2 more months to go and I am enjoying myself to the fullest.

So, when M.Wei called me asking me out to go eat sushi with her, I agreed with alacrity. I am not a Sushi King big fan but I love their Sushi Bonanza, because you can eat damn lot with very ~~cheap~~ affordable price. Sushi King always have this Sushi Bonanza promotion a few times (2 or 3) in each year. I remember I always go with a gang of eager friends before our final examination starts. So that quite makes sense that the promotion is available two times a year!

And if you dont know what is Sushi Bonanza,well, it is a promotion whereby most of the sushi placed on the kaiten belt in the shop are sold at mere RM2. But be aware with those plates that have dashes of darker lining around the plate because they are not included in promotion and sold with their original prices. Besides that, the promotion is aimed at sushi king card members only but you can bring a group of friends (5 person including yourself) to go with you. It is strictly for dine in and usually you are limited for 1 hour only.

While it is unusual for Sushi King to have the promotion now, the one we (me and m.wei) went to is running the promotion to attract more customers because many people don't know that there is one Sushi King at Giant Mall in Kulim. It was such a long journey to go there from my home. I could have gone to Butterworth with the distance traveled! Never mind that. Since I am so free now and have nothing much to do.

The Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles

After a 3 hour sleep, I wake up to find this piece of new information about EA is going to release new adventure pack (expansion pack) via The Sims3 (UK) official page in Facebook. I never saw this is coming. I understand that EA will never stop producing base game only. It is their 'habit' to release new expansion or stuff packs every a few months after a previous release. The reason why I do not really expect to see this new Adventure Pack coming is that, meh, I am not The Sims 3 Medieval fans and I couldn't care less to check their official webpage or forum since its release, unless I had problems in solving some quests.

So, for those fans who like their sims playing in the middle ages, this news might be exciting to you.

The Sims 3 Store New Item - Gothique Library

Have you seen the latest release in The Sims 3 Store??? Quite surprised by EA dropping a new item before the first Thursday of July? No...It is not their first time either. Remember the Olympian Physique gym introduced a few months ago??

If you don't remember or don't even know its existence, here is EA desperately promoting the gym:

As many know, The Sims 3 Store sells stuff that are 'exclusive' (as claimed by EA) which you can't buy it other than in The Sims 3 Store.

What surprises the sims 3 community most is that in this Gothique Library set there is an additional gameplay which you will not find in any expansion and stuff pack introduced so far. Hehe...Dont get shocked to read this yea....EA is releasing a spell book with this new set and you can let your sims to learn spells and cast them!! This is a must-get item for every simmer who likes magic in their game!

There are 5 spells which your sims can learn from this old tome:

Summon ==> To summon a stranger to wherever your sims are.

Summon acquainted ==> To summon your sims friends

Unlease animale ==> Curse spell. To make your enemy acts like an cat/dog. Those who get cursed will be pawing themselves like what cat/dog does.

Enchant ==> To make your spell book enchanted and be flipped on its own

Mood elevatus (forgot this name) ==> To give your sims a postive mood boost.

I am lazy to explain the rest of the set items. Basically it consists of a library which is built in Gothique style (as the title suggests). There are a few furniture, lights, pillars and chess table included in the set too. Well, I like the architecture of the library but I hate the interior design. You can always change that with your own creativity.. A picture worths a thousand words...so here's the pictures...

Before I end this post, I would also like to recommend an item released in June 2011 which adds new gameplay too - The Massager. Well, this item doesnt give as many interactions and in game animations as the spellbook does, but you might want to get it too if you are just lazy to send you sims to the town SPA to get those positive moodlets. The massager will give sims relaxed moodlet after he/she uses it.

Tilt-to-Live consists of 5 gametypes. There are Classic mode, Code Red mode, Gauntlet Evolved mode, Frosbite mode and iVivala Turret! mode. Each game type has its own attraction and different rules of playing.

The 5 game types : Classic mode - chain kills back-to-back to multiply your score. Unlock Awards to earn new weapons.

Code Red mode - It's Classic Mode on crack. Prepare to die!

Gauntlet Evolved mode - Weave through deadly crowds of dots, collecting orbs for points.

Frostbite mode - Shatter your falling frozen foes before the hot spring can reanimate them!

By the way, do you notice you can play the game in different postures? Yes, you can select the way you are holding your device based on your different sitting/sleeping/standing postures at that time. Personally, I find that holding the device in Top-Down way is the most comfortable way for me to navigate and control the cursor.

The Classic and Code Red modes share the same game play rule, that is to kill as many red dots as possible before you bump your cursor into any dots. Their only difference is that Classic mode is more suitable for beginner whereas Code Red mode requires more skills to play as the red dots are quickly spawned and moving at a faster speed. These red dots are evil, they will follow your cursor everywhere. Therefore, you must try to get as many weapons (orbs of different colors with different symbols in it) as possible to arm and protect your cursor.

The Code Red mode - is a busy version of classic mode. You must react fast and alert to those quick spawned red dots.

I am in love with the Code Red mode. It is so addictive because every time I set a new record, I will want to come back to play and set another new high scores! See my newly set high score? Are you dare to challenge me?? Hahaha...To be honest, there are a lot more expert players around us who get extremely much higher score than me. You can check your score and different players on Leaderboards when your device is connected to internet.

Basically in Gauntlet Evolved mode your aim is to get as many colored orbs as possible in order to earn more points. Beware of your enemies-red dots, they will come in large crowd when you get more orbs and spend more time in the game.

Cool blue screen in Frostbite mode. Initially your cursor is protected by the green protecting shield. Kill the frozen red dots before they get to bottom of the screen as they will be reanimated and turn into moving red dots that come chasing after your cursors! Don't loose your protecting shield (when the animated red dots hit your cursor) as it will make your cursor vulnerable to direct attack from these red dots and of course Game Over la when you get hit again.

Notice the thermometer below the screen? Try to kill as many frozen red dots as possible in order to push the temperature from cold to hot, as shown in the above two pictures. When you reach the maximum temperature, the thermometer will turn red and a reddish firery orb will be spawned. Use it to set a line of fire across your screen to assist you killing the increasingly fast dropping of frozen red dots from top.

The last game mode ( iVivala Turret!) offers you a complete different game play as above. Once you pick up the yellow orb, your cursor will be protected in a fort that is armed with Machine Gun. Shoot down those red dots and they will turn into blue shining diamonds. Collect these blue diamonds to gain scores. Please be reminded that the fort will not last long, it will explode after some time and you need to search for the yellow orb to built up another fort. Don't let the red dots to attack your fort.

I really enjoy this game. I instantly in love with this game when my friend, Kyle lend me his iPad to play this game. I was sorry to him as I had to bother him to play the game as I did not own iPad yet that time. Hehe.....I started playing the Code Red mode straight away because i feel that the classic mode is too slow and boring...Though, I could not handle this busy type mode instantly, I picked up the skills quite fast and broke my friend's record (i still remember i broke his record during his birthday. It is my gift to him to set the highest score in his iPad...hahaha..and he still cant break my own record yet until now...Sorry Kyle to mention you here).

SO, have you made up your mind to buy the game?? If you are still hesitating, you can just go to iTunes and search for " Tilt to Live". There should be a free version where only classic made is playable. You can upgrade the game anytime when you feel you are ready to pay for it!

My rating: 4.5/5 ......It is hard to get bored with this game!

The Sims 3 Generations

The Sims 3 Generations has almost released for three weeks! Have you got your copy of the latest Sims 3 game expansion pack??

I quite like the whole idea of EA doing this expansion pack, ie to live each life stage to fullest with more interactions to do. However, I get bored quickly after several game plays with this expansion. I feel that Sims 3 game is losing its charm as each new games (expansion and stuff packs) are added to the base game. Although, The Sims 3 Generation is the 4th expansion pack of the sims 3 game, I can feel the game is so lack of depth. EA has great idea in doing expansion pack, but somehow I feel that they do not fully develop their ideas to make the expansion packs complete. For example, you can't bath your baby in the sims 3 base game and I thought this will be the perfect timing for them to introduce the interaction into the game. But, hell no. You still cant bath your baby. You change their dirty diapers in a blurry swirl hand motion and the baby will get clean again. How disappointing, EA...I love how The Sims 2 is made so fascinating that I can play up to many hours without being stricken by boredom. Well, there are many people who may want to disagree with me that The Sims 3 is worse than its predecessor, Sims 2, all I can say is that this is just my own personal opinion based on my own playing style in the games. If you want to argue with me that Sims 3 is definitely the best sims game ever, please show me or suggest on how to play the game, coz I am completely out of any ideas of how to make myself satisfied with the game.

Stop lamenting on the game, after all it is just a game! And the main topic in this post is : The Sims 3 Generations.

After installing the new expansion pack, the first thing that happened in my newly created safe game was a meteor strike! It was so cool, coz it rarely happens in my game. I like to watch sims getting singed by the meteor fire. Well, I dunno if this is just another EA glitch or they do it purposely to raise the probability of getting stricken by a meteor strike...

Sunset Valley is in danger...these sims folks are panic stricken!

Let's see what's new in the game beside the trivial meteor strike.

With the installation of The Sims 3 Generations, you will not only able to set how many sims days a sims can live but also adjust the number of days they may live up to in each life stage.

You can now adjust the number of days to live for each life stage.

Basically, I hate to play as babies because they are just total useless creation in the game with very little interactions and animations. Usually I will age up the babies as soon as they are born. I am not bothered to raise them as what good parents do.

As for toddler, they are now have more things to do aside learning to walk, talk and potty training. You can bring your toddlers to new park (move it to your game from Library)with pram. The new park comes with many playground objects which will satisfy your kids play need.

One of the many new kids outdoor activities : Toddler riding spring rider under the surveillance of parent while they play this alone when growing up as children.

Besides many play objects introduced, your sims kid may receive an imaginary friend after their birth. It is a friend with colourful outfit who your kid sims can only sees while others do not. At first, the imaginary friend acts like any ordinary dolls in the game Your child sims can talk to the doll imginary friend and sing to it. The imaginary friend will age with your kid sims too and start interacting with each other.

Sims are just like us..some are lovely while the other mischievous. Some find reading is entertaining while other find fun in pulling pranks.

"Jasmine! It is no fun. Stop pulling prank or i will punish you later!"

Sims being set up for the hair dye prank will have to re-shower themselves. And if the children or teen keep fooling around by setting up pranks everywhere, children will be grounded or punished by their parents. Their favourite toys may get confiscated while some very naughty sims might get disallowed to go outside home. They have to pledge to their parents or helping out the family doing household chores in order to get their freedom back. In addition, if parents find their kids are too uncontrollable, they may sign up after school activities for their kids such as ballet or scouting. In the most headache case, the parents might want to send their children to boarding school so that they can learn to be independent and picking up some good skills/values along the way.

Not all kids are bad. Some kids like to spend their time by role-playing. The dreamer's customer chest provides costumes for princess and prince, astronaut and cute-looking T-Rex.

Teen sims like to pull prank as much as the little kids do. With more developed minds, that do not guarantee a more mature thinking , instead pulling out more wicked pranks! For those rebellious teens, they enjoy setting up traps and getting away from punishment! However,if get caught, they must bear the consequences of being lectured or even locked up in home.

It is even more entertaining when the resident of the targeted home comes out putting out the flame and ended up dirtying him or herself.

Old trick: Door bell ditch. I bet you did this too when young!

Besides those pranks as shown above, teens may even go back to school to carry out more of their great mischievous ideas after school. Well, these actions are not visible as your sims will enter the rabbithole-school and all you can do is reading the consequences of the action.

Besides these features, this game is also incorporated with more varieties of parties so that your sims will never feel alone in the midst of their friends. Sims now can throw slumber party at home by inviting their friends over, wearing pyjamas. The partygoers will come with their own sleeping bags. It is a great time to tell ghost stories to your friends. And who knows, may be the timid sims will be awaken by their nightmares?

Slumber party. Beware to sleep too close to the fireplace coz you don't want your sims to get caught in burning fire.

Remember not to leave sleeping bag in your sims inventory as they tend to sleep in it in kitchen rather than their plus bed in bedroom.

For adults sims who are engaged and about to marry each other, they can now throw bachelor/bachelorette party.

Party dancers will also come to entertain your party guests. They are noticeable with the shower of overhead party lights with their special outfit to match their roles.

After throwing the bachelor/bachelorette party, sims can now marry each other in wedding party. Don't forget to have your sims marry your sims under the newly included wedding arch as it makes your wedding more real! The sims 3 Generations also includes a new wedding cake to compliment to your wedding party. You can either carry out the wedding ceremony at home or other community lots, but it is best to have the party with the wedding arch.

After the party, the newly-wed sims can now woohoo in the treehouse. Notice those pink petals falling off the treehouse? Don't doubt it, they are doing that in it! But beware for your sims to get splinter! That hurts ok?

No new skill is added into this new expansion pack. However, your sims now can purchase new chemistry set in order to improve their logic skill. All age groups of sims are able to experiment with the potions making except toddler and babies of course.

The new chemistry set. It is a perfect platform to master logic skill at the same time discover 10 exciting potions which have their own functions.

One of the potions is to transform your imaginary friend into a real life person. The imaginary friend will be surrounded by purple gust of wind when transforming into a real sims.

Another potion can temporarily turn your sims into ghost. It surely a mind-blowing experience to experience being a ghost right? You can drift through any obstacles on your way, startling other sims, etc...

What?! A paparazzi intruding your celebrity sims house to capture their sleeping moment?? Yes, it is still a nuisance inherit from The Sims 3 Late Night. The problems of spawning of celebrities and vampires are not fixed also. Besides the paparazzi, do you notice the bunkbed in the picture? Yes! EA has brought in this highly requested object in this game. Pram is also another cool object to be checked out too.

Sims like to play this water slide game too.

There are still many gameplay (such as Mild life crisis, teaching your teens sims driving, new babysitter profession, building sand castle....) to be explored. Overall, The Sims 3 Generations is a nice addition to your The Sims 3 game. It adds more colours and depth to your dull base game.

My 21st Birthday

I had a PEACEFUL 21st birthday. Since it rained cat and dog in afternoon, it made me lazy to go out. Besides, I could not find a friend to accompany me. Don't get me wrong. I have many friends, but they are just so busy with their work.

I woke up late in the morning cause I am still struggling with the nightly insomnia that I have currently. It is a real torture when your body is tired, but your mind is still fresh. You want to sleep, but your mind keeps thinking this and that..whatever ..hopefully with some determination I can deprive myself from my afternoon nap hence making me less energetic at night!

I had done nothing for the whole afternoon except online chatting with my friend. He really made my day because there were so much topics we shared. I was so preoccupied by our topics that I did not feel lonely or doing nothing at all for my birthday.

It was a no surprise birthday for this year. But I dont mind that for now I feel lucky since my birthday.

Later that birthday night, I had dinner with a few of my hometown friends. Though it was not a big celebration, we chatted a lot interesting topics, gossips from primary school era till we graduated our Form 5 study. Hometown friends are different from friends I come to know now because we grew up together, we shared same memories which are different from what the newly made friends. However, I am happy to receive so many birthday wishes whether they came from my hometown friends or non-hometown friends...hahaha...

Pudu Raya Bus Station

Finally, they have finished renovating this bus station!

Overall, I am quite satisfied with what they have done to improve the old bus station. It is now alot brighter, cleaner, and comfortable. Except, I find the toilets are too far from the waiting area. Please, imagine yourself having to carry 1 big hand carry, 1 big luggage, 1 shoulder sling bag, and another backpack...and you need to drag all of these things with you for a f*king distance to find a toilet for you to ease yourself.Then when you are outside the toilet, you start to think where you should put these things, because you are all alone to wait for your bus! ...May be you will want to beg a differ about what I am complaining, but this was what happened to me during the day when I came back from KL after finishing my final examination. I had no time to explore throughly the whole area and found a shorter route to the toilets!

ok, stop talking gibberish. What I want to point out today is this! Look below...

The sign above stating that you need to press the button in order to open the glass door of the platform when you want to enter/out of the platform. What makes me wondering is that, don't you think the "half-automatic" (since you need to press the button before the electricity kicks in and opens the door for you) door design is not suitable here? Every time, you want to enter, u have to press that thing before the door opens. And there is thousands of people using it daily! Will the door able to serve this large number of people before going haywire?? What should these people do if their platform door fails to open and let them in? Go to another platform nearby and then go down to search for the bus where it is supposed to stop??

Hmmm...may be it is just me that over think about the design. May be it really can serve up to many people, many years without any problems..

Just wait to see if many problems will surface soon...

Till then, I have much thing to explore in the new bus station, for i did not do that that day!

White Apple Black Friday New IC

Guess what??? I have bought a brand new iPad!

There was no any plan for me to buy it beforehand.

It was that Friday night (6/5/2011) when I was beavering away studying Numerical Methods for my final examination, then suddenly Kyle messaged me in msn messenger asking me if i could accompany him to buy iPad in the morning. I had rejected him at once as I knew that we had to queue for several hours before we could get the device he wanted. It never crossed in my mind that I would get myself an iPad eventually. Then later he showed me a link to the Ipad and I got all excited! I was deeply attracted by the iPad in the webpage. It just looks so cool to have one. Then, I texted Kyle a reply that I might want to buy too. Both of us were on the cloud nine when discussing about the iPad we were about to get on the next morning and I could not focus on my revision anymore. So, instead of continuing my revision, I lingered in the Apple webpage to compare prices of different iPad model. Since, I am not ready to pay more for every month 3g usage, I made up my mind to buy the one with only wifi and get the maximum memory capacity available. Then we went to sleep, waiting for the break of dawn to come and we would rush to Mid Valley Machine store to get our iPad.

When we arrived there at 7.30am, there was already long queue of people whom were all crazily (enthusiastically) waiting for the store to open. I brought my notes together with me so that I won't waste all the waiting hours doing nothing. After 2 and a half hour, the store finally opened. The staff gave each of us a card that indicated the model we wished to purchase. Before the staff reached to us, we were quite jumpy that the stock might run out before us and we would go back with empty hand. Fortunately, the staff did not disappoint us and both of us got the cards (iPad) we wanted. After the store opened, we still had to wait for another 1 hour before we were let into the shop. The customers were divided into group of 4 or 5 people and the staff would only serve one group at a time. And that's the reason why we had to wait for so long! Around 12pm, Kyle and me walked proudly out of the store, clinging to our shopping bags and catching glimpse of envy glares from other shoppers and those who were still lining up. We patiently drove back to our hostel before opening the box like kids do when they receive presents for their Christmas. Then, we started to set up the iPad together......(this is what happened that day la. no more story to tell)....

Ok, after exploring my iPad for several days, I have installed a new free game - Falling Fred. The game is damn bloody that I cannot resist but keep naming it as Bloody Fred instead. It is a game where Fred is falling down a tunnel with no end and all you have to do is to avoid him to crash into any obstacles (pipes, turbine, walls..)by tilting your device. The game gets all bloody when you crash Fred into the wall or any other obstacles. The turbine might cut Fred's head off if you fail to dodge it and you can see red blood sputtering out of the beheaded body! I wonder why the game is available for free. Don't you think it is too bloody and violent for kids to play huh?

Black Friday - Friday (13th May)..

Who cares about whether it is a black friday or not? Who cares how the presentation went suckly in the morning ? ( I do care, please. Let's just hope the lecturer won't fail me for that subject...*pray hard*)...Life must still go on!

We had a plan to go clubbing after examination, and all of us managed to stick to our plan, except Miss June! She remembered wrongly the date we would want to go clubbing and had preoccupied herself that night with her meeting with our hostel management group, discussing about the things they would do for the new comer after the new semester starts in September. Though, we all think it would be less interesting without her, but we had a GREAT night out!

What amazed me so much was how I managed to wake up after 2 hours of sleep that night and still had the energy to go Pudu bus station to take bus coming back home.

haha...about the clothes I wore that night, there were stinky like hell. My shirts and pants were engulfed with thick smell of cigarette and alcohol that I had to hide them beneath the all other unwashed clothes so that my mum would not realize them when she helped me to wash the clothes. So far, she did not mention anything or suspicious about me hanging out in those places yet la.

Dental Appointment again

Just came back from my regular dental appointment. The doctor said I have a good progression for my orthodontic treatment. Hopefully the braces can be removed before my new semester starts!!Bought two brushes (shown below) that cost RM12 each. WTF...the one shown below was bought when I was still in Kedah studying matriculation programme. The toothbrush was only RM7.50, the cheapest price i could find that time at the Aneka Mall,* haha reminiscing* And the reason why I insist buying this brush is that it is made for those who wear braces. I happened to use the normal brush before, but the brush bristle just worn out after two washes..><

And after the appointment, went to Gurney Plaza to buy this new antivirus for my lappy. I dont want to risk installing some virus-attached-pirated copy, so had to splurge some money to protect my laptop la. You will start thinking, necessary meh?? wasting money nia...But i dont want to take any risk!! So better be safe than in trouble.

Captured this picture before i go out. I love how this picture turns out to be. The lighting, the skintone, the lips..It just shows how fair I am (really?). And if you wonder why my nose looks so protuding-ly high, actually i had put on some bright eyeshadow on it to make it more 3d like. And the sexy lips (again,really?) was coated with just nude lipbalm, not lipgloss. Besides, if notice more closely,there is tint of pinkness on my cheek too. I must say that I did not use any blusher. People always suspect me applying blusher when seeing my face turn pink. Hello, it is natural one ok? The pink color will come out when i feel any slight temperature raise to my face. I do not have any blusher right now (may be will buy it someday, who knows), so dont be doubtful!

Look Out Point

It was a scorching hot day and the sun appeared like a huge ball of fire. The unbearable heat sucked up the moisture from the air and the air became still and dry. And my room had turned into a furnace. Though, the fan was switched on to its full speed, it did not clear away the hot air in my room. Instead, the lingering heat had made me so tardy and it appeared trying to suffocate me.

Fortunately, I was asked,out to Look Out Point to celebrate my friend, S.Lye birthday. I had managed to wriggle myself out of this hot situation before the stagnant hot air able to drown me! Look Out Point is about 40 minutes away from University of Malaya and it is located at the outskirts of KL city. It is a tranquil place high above 300meter sea level where visitors come here to indulge themselves with the night scenery of Kuala Lumpur and be mesmerized by the sparkling orange light emitted by thousand of households and the hustle-bustle of the city. Besides that, it is a perfect spot for couples to come dating and friends to celebrate birthday or let their hair down after tackling their onerous tasks for whole day.

There were not so many people when we arrived there since according to their website, Look Out Point attracts large number of visitors during weekends or public holidays. The place was not as cool as I imagined when I desperately yearning stepping out of my room.There is a flight of stairs to walk up before you reach summit where various restaurants are open to serve the visitors. There are a few (should be 4) restaurants available namely, Look Out Point Restaurant, Haven Restaurant, Gasoline and Panaroma Restaurant and we chose the latter to dine in. Panaroma Restaurant is the highest amongst the other 3 restaurants. There is even a tower like structure built to cater the customers who prefer enjoying their meals and scenery at a higher leval. Since, I am going to attend my college annual "prom night"and it is dire for me to keep slim, but, eventually I was overpowered by my voracious appetite and ordered a crispy chicken chop. It was an-OK chop, but the price certainly was reasonable(RM14.90) considering the panorama you can view at while gorging yourself on the food.

Since, we already celebrated once for S.Lye before coming he

re, so this trip was just an excuse for us to come to Look Out Point. We did not prepare any presents or birthday cake for him, just sang a birthday song for him before the day ended. Before we left at midnight, the weather had turned cooler. We could feel tinges of refreshing breeze caressing our cheeks, which was inexplicably pleasant! Later, we went to retrieve our car (the parking fee was just merely RM2)and bounded our journey back to UM.

Sorta a sudden decision to go back Penang

Yes, I am back to Penang with my hometown friends. Though he already told me that he was coming back last week and asked if i wanted to join him, then at that time I just could not make my decision since I have keyboard lesson on Thursday night and occasional tutorial class on Friday morning.

So, after I got the message from my keyboard teacher that he had to cancel yesterday night class (because he still hasnt got the permit yet.WTF la, please, we already pay you, can't you just use those money to rent a room?? I suspected that he did not rent the room at all for my last level of lesson). After that, my mind was started to bristle with million of thoughts, I was in a VERY CRUEL LECTURER class, and I just could not find myself to stay focus on the lecture. Thoughts like "Should I go back later?" "Since my mom only will be back from Thailand tonight, would it be a 'waste' to go home?" "I have to skip my tomorrow tutorial class?"...etc...So to be safe, I texted my tutor and got the big good news that there would not be tutorial class. This freaking news made me freakingly lost my focus more. So, I quickly sms my friend YX to tell him I finally made up my mind to go back with him and he told me we would depart on 5.30pm. Since, my lecturer was until 5pm and considering the 15minutes journey I had to walk from my faculty back to my hostel, that meant I only left with 15 minutes to pack!

After I reached my room, I started to expeditiously cram in some usual stuff you would pack when you are travelling into my luggage bag. My roomate was quite surprised to see me going back (I am the 1 that rarely go back home amongst the 3 of us). And what made him more astounded was, I would go home right away. The situation was like this...

Roomate: " You are going back home ar"

Me: " Yes"

This got a bit surprise him la. Later I received my friend call that he already waiting me downstair, so I quicken up my packing, then my roomate asked me another question.

Roomate: " Going back now ar?"

Me: "yes"

And then he gave me an astonished look. I think because the whole process from me walking into my room and out again was only within 10minutes, and he just can't believe how a person would go home/travelling without any early planning. ##

And en route for home, I found this (see the picture below) was in my pocket.. Wow, I was quite amazed by myself how would i react when I was not completely focus.

A few funny/ embarrassing/ irritating signs

When I first time found out this notice (it is pasted above the toilet bowl) I was like "omg, this is so funny and embarrassing, what if the girl that comes to use guy toilet and sees this (the girls don't use their toilet because it is always monopolized by someone else, so they have to use ours instead wasting their time waiting for the monster inside the lady washroom to come out)

This is really irritating when you need to withdraw your money. Come across this umpteen times recently. WTF

Election and Reunion Dinner

In order to practise my writing again, I have psyched up myself to at least come up with an entry per week. Let's talk about what happened around me in these few days!

Phew.....finally, UM annual election is over and according to what my friends said (I am not interested at all to go find out who won), The Pro-Mahasiswa candidates have won all the seats. And as many know, UM election is quite a BIG event! It is really big as you can see all kind of big and ridiculous news on newspaper during the election week. Not to venture deeper in these 'political' issue, I would like to show you what had happened night before the election day.

The canvass/ demonstration when I was having my supper with some friends. This was the chaotically topsy-turvy scene I managed to capture with my lousy camera phone.

And on Monday night, I had my reunion dinner with all my chinese hostel friends at Dynasty Dragon Seafood Restaurant. This was my first reunion dinner with my kolej firends as I missed this annual dinner last year because I had to prepare for dance competition that time.

I am writing this because someone urged me to do so and commenting that "your blog did not update for Dinosaur age already". And, since our Vice Chancellor wants us to improve our English and so the University Malaya ranking in top 100 in 5 years, let's talk about English.

Well, writing in English is not a major issue of me now, they are many other aspects that I need to improve. Firstly, I want to express my boundless gratitude to my english tuition teacher, Mr Wong H. Soon, aka Mr Wong Handsome(he always praises himself like that)! Without him I can never write properly. He teaches me of how to use those bombastic words superfluously and most importantly, constructing sentences with correct grammar. I know I still make errors now and then, but I have improved a lot. I really mean alot! By quantum leap.

However, if you want me to speak in English, I find it quite hard to do so, especially when I am 'forced' to speak. Example of those forced-to-speak-English-circumstances: presentation, impromptu speech, speaking with a very proficient english speaker...It feel sucked you know for being not able to speak or to convey your message properly. And i had this abominable experience for consecutive 2 weeks in my Critical thinking class where my lecturer wanted me to talk anything impromptuly for just 1 minute and presenting of the topic given by him. I had done it quite badly and now I am feeling so inferior.

So, what should i do now to improve my speaking? Speaking english with my classmates always seem like a good option. And you thought I never try that before? It doesn't work for me, since they just reply me back with mandarin and then I will loose my interest to talk in English anymore. How about try mixing with the foreigner students?? It sounds good too, but too bad I have no the courage to take the initiative to talk with them. And there's some personal reasons that repel me from getting near to them too actually.

So, what is your opinion? How do you improve your speaking fast and effectively??

I have gotten The Sims 3 Outdoor Living stuff finally.

Well, as the title said, it is a stuff pack. So do not expect any additional new changes/ game interaction made into the stuff pack. It is just a pack with STUFFs. It is the third stuff pack released by EA. The other two releases are The Sims 3 High-end-loft stuff and The Sims 3 Fast Lane Stuff. Well, it is outdoor living! So, all the items in the pack are generally designed to be placed outside home (you can still put them indoor if you want).

Ok, let's get to the game.

After installing and loading up the game, you will come to this new startup screen which is kinda cool + pleasant looking + relaxing (may be)..I really love the new startup screen besides the The Sims 3 Late Night.

Here is Rose Greenman standing in Olympian Physique gym (included in February The Sims 3 Store item). For those who are wondering who is Rose Greenman, she is a plant sim found in The Sims 2. Well, she is not really a Plant Sims in The Sims 3 because Plant sims life stat is not introduced in this game yet. Rose Greenman also be found in Riverblossom Hills, a world created by kiwi_tea which is a remake of the Riverblossom neigbourhood in The Sims 2. I love this world, because it is so nicely created. The are many picturesque destinations, creepy vampire bar, seaside dance club and many more waiting you to explore.

The Sims 3 Late Night

Are you so excited when seeing the The Sims 3 Late Night trailer, where in the bar there is a crowd of people having their great time hanging out, dancing together, drinking or even bar brawling?

Just like almost every one of you. I too was quite anticipating until I got my hand on this new game. Actually, I was quite disappointed when my sims visit a bar/lounge where it is called "Hotspot of the day", but with no even single other sims in the lot. Besides, the operation hour is just too short. Mostly the clubs/lounges/bars are closed at either 2/3/4am. I am so furious when my sims are kicked out of the lot when they are just about to enjoy their night out.

There is a guy whose name is Neverent has come out slight modification to the game so that it will "fool" your computer into giving your club fulls!

The steps are really simple and safe if you follow the instructions below really carefully.

1)Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts

2) Right click the Sims 3 Late Night folder in there.
3) Click properties.

4) Uncheck the "read only" option. Then click Okay.

5) A pop up box prompting you to make that folder writable or every file in the folder. We want everything in the folder to be writable. Click OK.

6) Click Ok again when the message saying you need the administrator rights to do anything with the file.

7) Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Late Night\Game\Bin.

8) Open up a file called "GraphicsRules.sgr" by using Notepad.

9) Click CTRL + A to select all the scripts in the notepad. Click CTRL + C (or right clicking your mouse) and copy the text.

10) Go to desktop and right clicking. Choose "Text Document".

11) Paste (CTRL+V) the text into this new text document.

12) Save the file name as "GraphicsRules.sgr" same as the one in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Late Night\Game\Bin.

13) Look for the follwing section of code ( it's almost at the top)

change the number at the end of those 4 sentences into something like this

14) Save your file which is in the desktop.

15) Go back to the folder from which you copied the "GraphicsRules.sgr" file just now.

16) Cut this file out and paste it into another folder you like except your desktop. This is done as a "back up" measurement.

17) Cut the file "GraphicsRules.sgr" on your desktop which you just changed the numbers into all 4.

18) Paste it into the folder that you just cut the original "GraphicsRules.sgr" from.

19) You are done! test the game.

20) Check your newspaper to find out which is the hotspot and enjoy you outing seeing a crowd of sims in the same clubs!

21) If something went wrong ( I BEAR NO RESPONSIBILITIES of this), just replace the "GraphicsRules.sgr" in your game folder with your original file.

Hehe. To get rid the problem of the operation time, you may consider putting this mod into you game.

IPhone4 & Me.

The long awaited IPhone 4 has finally available in Malaysia. Everyone is so exciting about this new upgraded smartphone and successor to IPhone and IPhone 3GS. The sleek and sophisticated did manage to grab my attention! I was so fascinated as my classmate, Joo Ean suggested we buy the new phone together. Since my current mobile phone, K800i looks quite old, unattractive and dull, I had this sudden urge that burgeoned rapidly within me when Joo Ean told me about her plan.

However, after mulling over and over about the pros and cons of buying the iPhone, I had to convince myself it is unworthy for me. I mean, it is not so suitable with me and somehow I feel that it is unnecessary for me to spend this prodigious amount of money to buy this highly-coveted phone.

Buy me or not?

I can only think of 2 advantages over the many many disadvantages. Here’s what I had been thinking:

Advantages:

1) its design is sleek and attention-getting. Everyone would turn their head when they see me using the phone (you’re so vain!)

2) I felt that it will always stay in trend

Disadvantages:

I won’t use up all the applications in the phone, they will be wasted. so they become unnecessary for me.
If I bought the phone, I will not have any more money to spend on other things like going shopping, watching movie or dining out with friends with sumptuous and scrumptious food.
I really can buy many new shirts, shoes, bags….that i really wanted.

This was what I got after considering much for every aspect and how the phone will cost me (if i ever buy it la). If I subscribe for the cheapest plan in DIGI (RM58 per month), I will have to pay up to 2 years (24 x RM58 = RM1392). This is just for the basics monthly phone usage, without adding the extra that you would incur if you exceed the quota. Besides, the phone itself already cost RM2090. So if I buy and subscribe the DIGI plan, then they will add up to a GRAND total of RM3482 which I can use to buy a decent high end laptop already! I would rather buy the latter because….(no need me to explain the advantages of owning a laptop right?)Furthermore, I would have to scrimp and save in this 2 years because I wont have any money left for each month. No more shopping. No more entertainment. And no more outings with friends.

So, in order to ‘reward’ myself for my self-control act, I went to shopping at Times Square and Sungei Wang with Jun Hui and her sister yesterday. Initially, I was only planning to watch a movie at Mid Valley. But,knowing that they would go to Sungei Wang to Sing K, I quickly agreed and joined them. We had a fun day there and bought a few things too in order to pamper myself.

A pair of converse sneakers. It is out-dated, but they look good with my jeans!

Sorry, to keep you guys waiting for my new updates (as if I have my followers, never mind).

Gonna blog about my baby---my tattooed laptop. Just in case you dunno how it looks like, here is the link http://kakikang.blogspot.com/2010/01/dell-studio-14.html.

Well, it got sick recently...There were some problems with the screen. A bar of lines appeared on the screen and it was most obvious and ANNOYING when the screen trying to display blue or grey colours.

Initially, I planned to call DELL during holiday or semester break because I am worry that it might take me too long time to repair the laptop. But after being convinced that DELL provides good and efficient service, I decided to give them a try. So, eventually, after mulling the problem over some time (apparently this is just an unnecessary act, I should act earlier), I made my call to DELL yesterday. The receptionist told me that I only have to wait for next business day for their computer engineer to come and fix my laptop.

And they did what they promise! Today, a computer engineer phoned me in the morning (9am,I was still sleeping at that time, wtf!) and he had scheduled to come and fix the laptop during afternoon.

I was quite shocked and impressed by his ability to disassemble the whole parts and body of the laptop from inside out! He changed a new screen for me to replace the faulty one and the dvd drive as well. Since, my dvd drive is slot type, it encounters some problems in ejecting discs sometimes. I did complain this to the receptionist and the engineer replaced that dvd drive for a new one too! I also got to know that he was a UTAR computer engineering student. He just graduated for not long ago and works for DELL for almost half a year.

HEHE...sounds damn efficient right? I am considering to extend my laptop warranty for 2 more years, so that I can enjoy their efficient service if any bad things happen to my laptop again.

I am quite happy to find these two essays hidden in my hideously higgledy-piggledy bedroom. ( I have tidied my room, so now all the items are quite in the place they should be now. Now it can be describe as more spick and span la..)

Wondering why I am so happy about the essays?

Well, they won me prizes during my one year study in Kedah Matriculation College. I got second-runner up for the essay entitled as "Matriculation Programme And Its Challenges" and consolation prize for "Life". I have to admit that Matriculation Programme And Its Challenges is one of my favourite essay I have created since I know how to write. While for "Life" it is a little bit over cheesy.

Ok, here's the essays.

Matriculation Programme And Its Challenges

Studying in matriculation is not as easy as I thought. Long before I entered Kedah Matriculation College, I had always heard from my friends or seniors that studying in Form 6 or A-level is far more Herculean than studying in matriculation. However, my assumptions were proven erroneous at the very first moment I stepped into this college. I have encountered umpteen of challenges in my daily life.

Not to say that I am being pompous or vainglorious, I admit that I was once a high-flyer in my secondary school. I scored flying colours in most of my school examinations and even reaped a roaring success when I achieved 11As in the formidable SPM examination. Due to my past success, I reckoned that there would be definitely no hindrance in my matriculation life. I had always taken matriculation for granted, thinking that it would be as easy as pie or plain-sailing for me. But, I started to change my prejudiced attitudes towards matriculation when I have tripped over stumbling stones.

It is true that erudite principal's remark is unquestionable. "You must put your pass success or failure outside the gate of this college. Every one in here starts with zero.It is your ceaseless effort and persistence that will determine your triumph. " Every students have the potential to become the most brilliant one or vice versa. Initially, I felt so much stress when most of my friends in this college were doing far more better than me. On the contrary, I had always loused up my quizzes, getting low marks in test and even cannot answer my lecturers' questions. I started to have the negative thought of giving up. When I voiced out my predicament to my mum in order to seek for her consolation, to my surprise, she condemned me for being lackadaisical in my study. She told me that everyone has their onus to take and it is my responsibilities to study sedulously and do well in matriculation. Tears started to brim in her lambent eyes after our terse conversation. I felt remorse with my past actions. Fortunately, my mum's advice has never fall into deaf ears.I have started to turn over a new leaf. I study more painstakingly so as I can achieve good result in my study and not to let my mum down any more.

Besides that, I learn to be more independent. I had accustomed to my mum's overprotective characters during my secondary school life. Every morning, she would wake up early and beaver away, preparing breakfast for me. She always had my everything prepared including ironing my school uniform and even have to wake me up everyday. Because of her bountiful care, it was quite a challenge for me to adapt to this college new environment and lead an independent life. Now, I have to bear what my mum had done for me in these couple of years. I learn to wash my clothes with hands, wake up without anyone's help and try to prepare meals once in a while when I do not want to eat at cafeteria. I do not have my family to rely on anymore and it is impetus for me to carry out my daily routine all by myself.

Apart from that, I have to adapt with the new teaching method and environment in this college too. There is a prominent difference between the way of teaching of lecturers in this college and teachers in secondary school. School teachers would explain to their students pellucidly until every Tom, Dick and Harry in the class would understand them. However, the lecturers in college do not put much attention to their students. This is due to the fact that there are at least 150 students in each lecture and it is quite impossible for a lecturer to handle this enormous number of student at a time. Sometimes, when I have doubts in a particular topic, I may not have opportunity to ask the lecturer immediately. As a result, I may loss my attention in lecture. Therefore, it is vital for me to always be enthusiastic in seeking lecturers' help in order to solve the problems that I encounter during lecture.

Last but not least, I also need to get used to the hostel life in this college. As a Chinese, we are placed to share a dormitory with another 3 Malay students. Initially, I was quite uncomfortable and intrigued with their lifestyle because I did not have any experience living with Malay. They Malay student sare requited to pray for at least five times per day. At first,I was quite flabbergasted to see them performing some weird actions. But after being told of what were they doing, I realized that they were actually praying to their God, Allah. After the incident, it behooves me to understand their lifestyle and culture more.

Studying in Kedah Matriculation College is the most exquisite experience that I have. Though, I may encounter innumerable challenges during this whole programme, matriculation is the stepping stone to study in local universities. Therefore, I should appreciate the chance that I have and try to perform outstandingly during the programme.

20th birthday

Now, I am officially 20 years old already. Age is a very sensitive issue for me, I accept it though as I think this is the time when I get more and more charming! Haha *narcissistic grin*...I have to wish RIBUAN TERIMA KASIH to my friends for their birthday wishing via Facebook. I really mean a thousand thank you (not so much la, i did not go to count, but it was surely a lot).

I cant sleep throughout the night because I was overwhelmed with joy. This was not solely because of the birthday wishes but also my mum and I had a great time at Mary Kay beauty centre at Autocity. I can still remember I slept at around 5am and wake up at 8am that morning. Then, I had to fetch my sister to Butterworth Jetty. I was kind of sleepy throughout the journey (please dont follow this stupid act)

After fetching her to jetty, I bathed and waited for my friend to bring me out for my big day! We stopped at Autocity first to have our dinner. And we dined in Sakae Teppanyaki & Izakaya.

I wonder why the chef here likes to play with their tools until they make all those noisy "qiang qiang qiang " sound.

My friend paid for my dinner . So my dinner was FREE!

Then we went to Queensbay as we did not have any plan how to celebrate my big day.

Then at night my hometown friends brought me to Super Restaurant (at Jawi) to celebrate with me (just another free meal with no birthday cake).

They gave me a Bum Equipment wallet as present. Like it, but i think i would dirty it pretty fast as it is fully white color.

And the person who was standing beside me was Alex Thong. We were born at the same day! He is just younger than me for about 4 hours. I always tease him that he has to respect me as I am older than him and so I am an elder to him. We celebrated our birthday together for the year 2008 and 2009. Although we cant to celebrate for each other this year, I phoned him after I came back from the Super Restaurant. We chatted for 38 minutes. Note...I rarely make phone call to chat with friends unless there are necessary call that i have to make. I phoned him and talked to him for so long because I got the 24 hours free phone call bonus from Hotlink. Thanks Hotlink, but i did not fully utilize this bonus to the max la.

After replying all the wishes in Facebook then I went for bed lo.....As I was too exhausted for my big day and because of seriously lack of sleep the other night, i slept from last night 2am until 11.30am then 1.45pm until 4pm....hmmm...Hope i can still sleep tonight. I don't want this abnormal sleeping cycle anymore!

So overall, I paid for RM0 to enjoy my big day!
